Modernize an Established Brand and Build New Brand Recognition
Thurston Comprehensive Dental engaged us to rebrand and modernize their practice from the ground up. As a premier dental office offering cutting-edge laser dentistry, they needed a look that matched their advanced services. The original practice, started in 1980, still reflected the owner’s request to “make the office look like my mom’s house,” and by 2022, it was clear that a transformation was necessary. We worked closely with their team to rename the company, redesign the logo, and develop a fresh, contemporary look that aligns with their expanded services and core values.
Meet Encompass Dental and Wellness.
Encompass is a DKP Legacy Brand. DKP Legacy Brands are the result of DKeith Pictures' natural growth beyond film and photography into the world of brand design. With a creative expansion underway, Become was born in 2023 as a dedicated extension and partnership to handle all brand design projects. While DKeith Pictures has returned to its roots, focusing solely on film and photo productions, the DKP Legacy Brands label now serves as a marker for projects born from this evolution. It represents the distinction between the two branches, honoring both their creative origins and future directions.

TRANSFORMING THE OLD TO THE NEW
The Modernization of a Legacy Brand
The original logo was unable to stand alone as an icon or have any variation in form. Its older look also limited its visual reach. The original name was also too cumbersome and did not "encompass" the practice.
The original imagery unintentionally created a color pallet that did not speak "cleanliness" or "health care". Instead creating a dark and dirty look and feel that is not in line with a dental care provider.
We needed to start from scratch to redefine who Thurston was and who Encompass was to Become. In order to do this, we had to break it all down to the basics and start with the "what".
Thurston Comprehensive Dental Center’s name didn’t fully capture its story. To reinvent the brand, we delved into their services, collaborating to create a new company name and logo that tell the Encompass Dental and Wellness story. These strong visuals establish a consistent brand guideline, driving future brand equity and marketplace longevity.

The revamped Encompass website was strategically designed to elevate the new brand identity. The redesign reflects updated branding with new imagery, videos, colors, and messaging. We also created a legacy page to inform past clients that this is a rebrand, not a new office, ensuring they understand the continuity of the practice.
